Due to the most recent announcement by BC Public Health Connexus is now taking the following precautions while we continue to remain open to the public and provide services:
Masks are now mandatory for everyone 9 years of age and older who enter our facilities and accesses programs and services,
with the exception of those medically unable to wear a mask.
Children between the age of 3 to 8 years are requested to wear a mask. Children aged 2 and under are not recommended to wear a mask.
For those who decline to wear a mask alternate service delivery options will be discussed with you.
Masks will be provided at the front entry for your convenience.

We are happy to have our doors open to the public once again. As a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak Connexus Community Resources has certain precautions in place to help keep everyone safe. Here is what you can expect at your next visit to our offices.
- There will be fewer people permitted in the reception area.
- There will be designated spaces to stand as you wait in reception.
- We will ask all people entering the building to use hand sanitizer, available at the door.
- We will ask all individuals entering the building to complete a verbal COVID-19 Symptom Assessment and will ask visitors for their name and telephone number for the purposes of contact tracing in the event of a future outbreak.
Riverside Place is open and residents are allowed one visitor at a time. Visitors must sign in upon entering, proceed directly to the resident’s room and sign out when leaving. We continue to encourage communication with the residents through technology. Scheduled outdoor visits are allowed with family members. Please contact the site administrator to arrange an outdoor visit. Seniors are free to come and go as they please but visitors to the building are still limited as outlined above. We ask that as seniors return that they wash/ sanitize their hands when entering the building.
Connexus is still operating on a daily basis and adhering to normal office hours. We continue to offer appointments virtually via video conferencing, phone, text, chat, but we are now scheduling in person visits if those options are not suitable.
At Connexus, we continue to follow advice provided by provincial, national and international health authorities and organizations. We are working closely with provincial ministries & Northern Health Authority in regards to the planning and management of the crisis. We are taking the outbreak seriously. In order to facilitate effective planning and to mitigate the risk, the Connexus has struck a committee composed of senior managers to plan for the response if an outbreak were to occur in our organization and the communities we serve.
We will continue to update our web page as the situation progresses and changes. We will also communicate via email and social media when there is new information to share. Preventing the spread of an infectious disease is a team effort and we thank everyone in our community who is working to ensure we have an excellent plan in place.
